FreeFileSync is an open source file/folder backup and synchronization tool. It has as simple interface with dual directory browser, which lets you compare two folders. It can store a synchronization database to detect deleted/moved/copies files and apply the same to the other folder. FreeFileSync supports two-way sync, file versioning (keep all versions of old files, keep only the most recent versions, save versions at certain intervals), Volume Shadow Copy, and background operation (run as a Service).
